letter to future student
What's up my man,
Typical end of the year assignment, writing to a future student about what they can expect in the class. This class shouldn't be difficult. It also shouldn't be easy. It shouldn't even really feel like a class in the traditional sense.
It's all about maintenance. The assignments are all doable, but the lack of due dates makes it hard to stay on track occasionally. You let yourself slack off on one project and before you realize it you're 3 behind. As long as you stay up to date, you're golden in here. (Plus, if you get your work done the day it's assigned, you can slam out some homework in here too.)
Basically, keep up with your work, and maintain creativity too I forgot to mention that. Better to submit a creative assignment that you challenge yourself with that isn't top tier quality versus a basic assignment done well.
Good luck

cubism reflection
1. I just had received all these photos from the event and decided that they would work really well for the assignment at hand, so I decided to try it out and sure enough it worked.
2. I only incorporated like 8 just because more would have caused clutter, but there were definitely 30-40 I could choose from.
3. Lining everything up in a manner that you could still see the main subject while also creating the controlled chaos of the show via cubism.
4. Get pictures from better angles so that it shows a more complete scene.

love is breaking me apart im disintegrating oh god
a lot of my original shots the files corrupted
So basically, initially i was gonna edit a hole into my chest and have my heart falling out, but i couldn't find a sufficient image of a heart. Instead, I chose to have an image of me grabbing at my heart as my skin crumbles away, which is intended to imply some kind of heartbreak or strain on my heart is tearing me apart.

Semester 1 Reflection
I. 1. I feel like the quality of my work was more often than not something I put thought into, although obviously the projects that interested me more yielded higher-quality results just because I was more engaged. I think the ideas I came up with were always relatively original, and I was often open to new ideas as I realized things I wanted to do simply weren't within realistic limits. If I had to say one negative thing about the quality of my work, it would be that I often just did the bare minimum to fulfill the objective and never went above and beyond.
2. My effort varied depending on how many ideas I had. When a project came along that immediately gave me ideas, I would plan locations, plan subjects, and have everything ready in my head. However, on the projects with which I ended up not sure of what to do, I would often procrastinate my planning and settle for the first reasonable idea to come to my head.
3. My participation, in my opinion, was always there. That is, assuming I hadn't finished my work. I usually would bang out whatever assignment I had to do in here and then finish math homework, so I guess it was good in that regard.
4. I think I definitely have a clear cut style to my work, and that through learning the technical aspects of photography I have improved drastically. I am better at aligning the subject within the frame in my opinion, as well as having concepts behind the general image.
5. In the 2nd semester, I'm going to try to have stronger concepts behind my images. I'm going to try to use colors better, and hopefully procrastinate less.
II. Not off the top of my head.
